Jiant is on a mission to create a better-for-you beverage company by reimagining alcohol for the modern consumer. Using fresh-brewed organic teas, botanicals, and real fruit, their crisp and refreshing Hard Kombuchas and Hard Teas are thoughtfully crafted to give consumers a better buzz. Colony worked with the Jiant founders early on in the brand development to create a strategy and identity system that highlighted this approach. One that is traditional in process but unconventional in results, creating a line of beverages that are expressive and interesting while remaining accessible and surprisingly light.

Seasonal flavors have always been a focus for the Jiant brand, and to that extent Colony has consistently collaborated with their team to bring these unique offerings to life. From Summer Snowcones to Taco Tuesdays, Colony has created visual systems for their line extensions that are playful and refreshing.

In 2020, the Jiant team developed a new line extension with the introduction of Hard Tea. Understanding the opportunity to challenge the growing beer and seltzer market, Jiant created something different and more unique: a hard tea using loose-leaf tea and botanicals. Colony once again created a visual system that is differentiated enough from their successful kombucha line, but still carries a through-line to the brand.
